Spring is in the air, the weather’s warming up and city break season is officially calling.

But where are this year’s cheapest destinations?

According to new research from TravelSupermarket, which looked at prices for a three-night stay with flights, an Italian destination is this year’s most affordable city break.

Italian fashion capital Milan takes the top spot with flights and accommodation coming in at just £250 per person.

The northern Italian city is known for the iconic Duomo di Milano cathedral, Da Vinci’s Last Supper and its designer boutiques.

But it’s not the only budget break on offer.

Eastern Europe dominates the rest of the top three with Prague taking second place and Krakow in third.

A stay in the Czech capital costs just £286 for flights and accommodation while tourists can expect to pay a bargain £299 in Krakow.
